Pyramid Point Summit Here in Leelanau, ... We walk, and climb, and sit on our dunes. A lot. In so doing, We take for granted the obvious - That there is something at least semi-solid beneath us: A mountain of sand -  Terra Almost Firma. For the most part, it is immoveable, dependable, Supportive of the weight of our bodies ... And our lives. Even during the most difficult times. Times when, on the other side of the world, The earth is not so dependable - Giving way, And swallowing our sisters and brothers. Here in Leelanau, ... We walk, and climb, and sit on our dunes.
