If I could look back in time, ...

Back nearly to the beginning of time,

I would see that all of Leelanau,

From Sleeping Bear Dunes to Grand Traverse Bay,

From North Manitou Island to Platte River,                 ,

And every living thing within,

Including myself,

Owes its very existence, ...

To a star, ....

A star which,

By dying in a luminous explosion, 

Created every element necessary

For the existence of ...

Everything.

And we thought it was just "twinkle, twinkle ...."
